About

I’m Rich, and I’ve been working at the intersection of security, privacy, and data science since 2010; first for ICF International, then for the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, after that for Invincea/Sophos, then at Duo Security, and now at NVIDIA. My research interests range from applying data science and machine learning to security problems to security of data science / machine learning systems, and I have strong and frequently-voiced opinions (but do very little actual research) about the uses, abuses, and general ethical considerations around ML (“AI” if you absolutely insist) and society.

Standard and expected disclaimer: Anything here is entirely my own fault/opinion (delete as appropriate) and doesn’t reflect anything that my employers – past, present, or future – might think, let alone anyone else who knows me. Honestly, talk to me in a month and it might not even reflect what I think.
